da bet7k: David Ornstein has revealed it may only be a matter of time before Frank faces the sack, following the latest setback, with Tottenham succumbing to a 2-1 home defeat against West Ham United on Saturday.

With Frank clearly under serious pressure and players turning on him, Spurs have already started to run the rule over potential replacements.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is among the targets, while USMNT boss Mauricio Pochettino is also being eyed up for a return to north London.

According to a report from Spain, however, a different manager has now been contacted and offered the job, namely former Barcelona man Xavi Hernandez, but there could be competition from a rival Premier League club, with Manchester United also making an approach.

Frank’s future is said to be hanging by a thread, with major doubts emerging within the Tottenham hierarchy, and Xavi has been identified as a possible replacement, given his modern brand of football and ability to develop young players.

The Spaniard is yet to make a decision about where his future lies, but there are plenty of indications he could be an exciting appointment for the Lilywhites…
